Come join us for the Annual Feather Party. Win turkeys and hams while you eat a steak. What could be better than that. November 16th

This happened. November 9th but we’ve been unable to post because of computer issues at the Post. It was a very successful event and we hope to see many more.
Thank you Accel Entertainment, Tammy and her team, and Tim Calkins and his team for providing the food.

We’re not really gonna throw a pie in your face….well, probably not. Come, win a pie to take home for Thanksgiving.

If you’ve never been to one, Feather Party’s are fun. Win a Ham or Turkey, maybe even both. Lot’s of chances to win.

We have a lot of fun stuff coming up in November for our members to participate in.
Very quickly, we will have a Meat Raffle along with an Auxiliary Lunch on the 2nd. Chicken or tuna salad sandwiches with chips for only $6.00. That will help any budget.
The first of November is the first day to fill out you child or grandchild’s wish list for Christmas. They have to be 12 and under but they always get a nice gift. November 27th is the last day to fill them out.
Mark Zellers, who has donated loads of time and expertise around the Post (He and Laura Mills built our awesome deck) will be offering a Smoked Porkchop Breakfast with potatoes, eggs cooked to order, and toast for $12. Yes. You read that right. $12 on November 10th. What a delicious treat for the Marine Corps Birthday.
There’s more, much more, but you’re just going to have to download the calendar or stop by the Post and pick one up to find out about all of it.
Here’s your November 2024 Post Calendar:

Each year, the Post offers up to five scholarships to a relative of one of our members. The member can be Legion, Auxiliary, or Sons of the American Legion, and the relative can be a son, daughter, grandson, granddaughter, niece, nephew, etc., of one of them.
This monthly meal is a way to defray some of the expenses (up to $5000 a year) of the scholarships.
The Minutes from last night’s meeting are available in the office by appointment to any Legion member in good standing.
Also, at the E-Board meeting, the Board voted to donate to help a 35 year member with some of the expenses to bury their son and we voted to donate as a Post to the National Disaster Relief Fund for the American Legion to be used to help members who were put out of their homes by the back-to-back hurricanes.
Last night the membership also approved Bylaws changes, the current Bylaws can be downloaded here.
Please attend our monthly meetings if you can, your input is important to us.
