Each year, the Post offers up to five scholarships to a relative of one of our members. The member can be Legion, Auxiliary, or Sons of the American Legion, and the relative can be a son, daughter, grandson, granddaughter, niece, nephew, etc., of one of them.
This monthly meal is a way to defray some of the expenses (up to $5000 a year) of the scholarships.
Linda will be unable to make Tacos on Tuesday, October 15th.
John and Amy have cancelled their Sunday “Stadium Menu” effective immediately.
Fish fry will only be held once this month, the 1st Friday October 4th, therefore we will be holding our monthly bake sale that day from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Donated baked goods would be so appreciated.
I am excited to announce that for our next meeting Tuesday October 8th at 6:00 p.m, we will have three of the girls that we sponsored for girls State coming to speak about their experience please join us and listen to their stories.
We would also like to discuss our Snip Sheet, that is where we donate our monies to, if time is allotted. We need members in attendance to make motions and vote during this process.
We would also like to discuss the possibility of a little alternative to the bake sale during fish fry it would be called “fish fry and a slice of pie.”

In addition, our very own Tim Calkins, Adjutant for the Sons of the American Legion, has agreed to provide food for the event. Don’t let the low prices for his food fool you, Tim’s an awesome chef.
See you at the Post!
The orders are flying in for today’s benefit lunch. Linda has already been to the store to buy more meat. I think it’s going to be a sell out in our communities effort to help a friend in need. Way to step up, Post!
